Find a conveyancer, and compare instant quotes for the legal costs of your home sale or purchase!
How to use our site
Find a conveyancer, and get free, no-obligation, quotes for the legal costs of your move.
Getting an estimate is as simple as 1, 2, 3 ...
1. Enter your property and move details
2. Enter your contact details, and
3. Press Search - what could be simpler?
You will receive estimates from local and national conveyancing firms covering your postcode.
These estimates and the conveyancer details will be displayed on screen, and also emailed to you for you to follow up.
If you selected an expected move date between 1 and 6 months your details will also be sent to the listed firms so they can contact you to provide a full quotation and discuss your requirements in more detail.
If you are not moving yet, or are just price checking, your details are not sent to any of the conveyancers, so your won't be contacted by them. If you subsequently want a formal quotation from them you will need to contact them.
What is included in your estimate:
The conveyancers fee, based on the property information you have provided. This includes VAT where applicable. This is the fee that you will be charged by the conveyancer for making enquiries, preparing contracts, and carrying out searches etc on your behalf. This does not include the external costs ('disbursements') such as search fees, and other 3rd party fees.
Common disbursements involved in a normal transaction are also shown to give you a reasonable guide to the likely total cost of your move, but the actual disbursements may vary depending upon the property, its location, and the detail of the transaction, particularly:
- If you are selling or purchasing a property
- Searches (local, water and drainage, environment, flood)
- If leasehold: Notice of Transfer and Mortgage
- If leasehold: Certificate of Compliance Fee (if applicable)
- If leasehold: Deed of Covenant Fee (if applicable)
- Registration fee
- Chancel searches (if applicable)
When appointing your chosen conveyancer you should always check with them what disbursements are likely to apply to your particular transaction.
What is NOT included:
Stamp Duty Land Tax - the level of Stamp duty varies upon several factors including the value of the property and the type of ownership. For details of your likely Stamp Duty liability we recommend you go straight to the horse's mouth and visit the HMRC website: https://www.gov.uk/stamp-duty-land-tax/residential-property-rates

Why do you ask for the postcode and address of the property?
We need the postcode and address of the property to be able to match you to conveyancers covering the area. Our search algorithm gives preference to firms local to the property to give you a choice of local and/or national firms
Why do you ask for your contact details?
We need these to email your estimates to you, and so the conveyancers can contact you to discuss your exact requirements. If you choose to withold your contact information (by entering dummy information for example) you will still be able to view your search results on screen, but they will not be emailed to you. If you prefer not to be called, simply enter 'please don't call me' in the telephone number field.
Can I withhold my contact details?
You can if you wish, but if you choose to withold your contact information (by entering dummy information for example) we will not be able to email your estimates to you, although you will still be able to view your search results on screen. If you want to receive confirmation of your estimates by email but prefer not to be called, simply enter 'please don't call me' in the telephone number field.
What do you do with my details?
